FUNDRAISING GOAL = 100%

When I first signed up for Team in Training, I was really inspired. I went to the informational meeting, I watched the promotional video, and I was sold. I figured this would probably be the only time I would ever do something like this and out of my three options for races, I chose the one that required the highest amount of money to raise but also was the most "exotic" destination. I chose to raise money for the Leukemia-Lymphoma society and to run a marathon in Paris, France in honor of everyone out there whose life may have somehow been touched by cancer. And for me, this isn't just about blood cancer... this is for any kind of cancer. Whatever. I know I'm raising money for an organization that deals with blood cancers, but I've been training and running for everyone really.

My Aunt just lost her battle with lung cancer and she has been a huge motivating factor for me...

Thanks to my friends, family, co-workers, and even a few strangers, today I reached my goal of $4900. I feel such an amazing sense of accomplishment and I am so truly thankful to all of those that opened their hearts (and wallets) and contributed to my undertaking. Everyone has been incredibly supportive and this whole experience has been amazing.

On April 10th, I will run 26.2 miles with motivating thoughts running through my head of my friends, family, and those people I will have helped with the money I was able to raise.

I'm pretty excited right now. I can finally buckle down and focus on TRAINING for the next couple of weeks!!

So so excited. Paris, here I come!!
